Prepare for a big “I told you so” from Donald Trump. At the beginning of the year, Trump was interviewed – and the topic of Vivek Ramaswamy came up. That’s when the former president said that he was a “nice guy” but that he didn’t have the momentum needed to get very far.

If you’ve been following any of the polls, you know that, nationally, Ramaswamy has only been sitting at around 4 or 5%. That’s simply not high enough to keep pouring money into a presidential campaign.

On the evening of January 15, following the Iowa caucuses, Ramaswamy announced to a room filled with voters that he was suspending his campaign.

But wait…

Trump predicted that he’d also endorse him. That’s when most people rolled their eyes because they thought it was just Trump being Trump.

Ramaswamy chose to endorse Trump.

Ramaswamy told the crowd, “There is no path forward for me to be president…”

He went on to say, “Tonight I called Donald Trump to … congratulate him on his victory, and now, moving forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency, and I think we are doing the right thing for this country.”

Many said that Ramaswamy was the closest to Trump when it came to GOP nominees. Perhaps that’s why, ultimately, he couldn’t get higher in the polls. Those who wanted someone “like Trump” chose to go for the real thing.

Meanwhile, this prediction is just another feather in Trump’s hat – and you just know that he’ll be boasting about it in the very near future.
