As you know, former President Donald Trump is in the middle of a few legal battles. And during a trial for one recently, Trump grew so frustrated with the dog and pony show that he literally got up and stormed out of the room.

The case is the one brought forward by liberal New York Attorney General Letitia James, accusing Trump and his organization of falsifying financial statements and such to inflate his net worth. Of course, so far, the prosecution has yet to find any real evidence or make anything stick.

And things got worse when Trump’s former attorney and “fixer,” Michael Cohen, admitted on the stand and under oath that Trump never actually ordered him or anyone else to tamper with or alter those financial statements.

Trump defense attorney Cliff Robert asked, “So Mr. Trump never asked you to inflate the numbers on his financial statement?”

Cohen’s response was, “Correct.”

Naturally, this is bad news for the prosecution, who has seen Cohen as an ace in their hand for a long while now. If you don’t remember, the former Trump lawyer was so engrained in the Trump organization and all that went on there, it is believed little went on without him knowing about it. He worked for Trump for 12 years.

So it’s a reasonable assumption that if Trump had ordered anyone within the company to mess with any numbers, Cohen would have known about it.

And yet, he was forced to admit that he never knew anything about Trump asking for such.

Basically, the prosecution’s case just fell apart.

Naturally, that’s not what Trump was so frustrated with. That came when, following Cohen’s admission, the liberal Judge Arthur Engoron still refused a motion for a directed verdict.

When a case such as Trump’s goes through, and it’s obvious there isn’t substantial evidence for the jury to make an informed and without a reasonable doubt conclusion, the judge can issue a directed verdict ruling. It basically sinks the case, as the prosecution no longer has a leg to stand on.

With Cohen’s admission, everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before this case falls apart.

But Engoron won’t let it go. And that is why Trump is so upset, and reasonably so.
