Republican Senators are warning Americans that terrorist attacks on US soil are becoming increasingly inevitable thanks to Joe Biden’s open border policies. During a visit to the southern border last week, the Border Patrol informed the Republican delegation that they have been catching illegal aliens crossing the border while carrying improvised explosive devices (IEDs). One Senator calls the explosives “tailor-made for terrorism.” There’s no need to overthink this. Illegal aliens are not carrying bombs into the country because they plan to take up gold mining. They’re bringing explosives because they plan to blow up Americans.
The delegation to the southern border included the Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY), along with Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Cornyn (R-TX), and Pete Ricketts (R-NE). The senators say that more than 8 million illegal aliens have now crossed our southern border on Joe Biden’s watch, and that’s just the catch-and-release ones that he’s turned loose inside the country. The true number, including “got-aways,” could be as high as 15 million.
“We have just returned from our southern border, and it is painfully clear that with Joe Biden’s open border policy, our country is really at an increased threat for a terrorist attack,” said Sen. Barrasso.
In late October, Border Patrol agents caught a group of illegal aliens carrying IEDs that Sen. Barrasso said were the “size of cannonballs.” Barrasso added that the devices that the Border Patrol captured were “tailor-made for terrorism.”
During the press conference, Barrasso stated that the Border Patrol captured 18 people on the US terrorist watchlist during September and another 172 terrorists over the past year.
“To put this in perspective, in years past, that number was single digits,” said Sen. Ricketts. “We’re opening ourselves up for a terrorist attack.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a terror alert back in May for the first time since President Donald Trump was in office and the border was secured. The agency said the US was in a “heightened threat environment,” and for once, the Biden regime was not talking about Trump supporters and the mythical threat of white supremacists. It was talking about Islamic terrorism. The DHS alert said that individuals with ties to foreign Islamic terror groups may be trying to target schools, government facilities, and critical infrastructure.
Joe Biden set an all-time record-high number of illegal border crossings in September when he allowed 269,000 foreign invaders into the country, with no questions asked. They all pinky-swear that they will show up for their court hearing in about five years.
Sen. Barrasso says the situation at the southern border has “gotten so bad that Homeland Security has raised the terror threat because so many people are coming in illegally and there are so many got-aways—people that run and hide in an effort to not be detected.”
The House Committee on Homeland Security estimates that there have been 1.7 million got-aways that snuck into the country on Joe Biden’s watch. There’s no way to know if that number is even vaguely accurate, however. How do you count something that you’ve never seen in the first place? It’s insane that we now live in a place where the government can’t even estimate the number of illegal invaders within an 8- or 9-digit number.
Sen. Cornyn says that all of the got-aways likely had a good reason for running from the Border Patrol, and that’s obviously true. Every nation south of the United States in this hemisphere has been emptying out its prisons in an effort to cut costs and to destabilize America on behalf of Communist China. Americans should stay vigilant as we head into winter. It’s almost a certainty that foreign terrorists are now walking around the country with explosives and looking for their next target.
