Rep. Matt Gaetz Wants to Stop the Post Office from Spying on Your Social Media Channels

Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has introduced a bill that would eliminate the US Postal Service’s division of police assassins that monitor your every move on social media. Most Americans don’t even realize that the Post Office can send armed cops to your door to shoot you in the face and kill you if you post an anti-Joe Biden meme on the internet. They absolutely can do that, and if history is any guide, they probably already have.

Immediately after he seized office in January of 2021, the unelected Joe Biden formed a group called the Internet Covert Operations Program at the Post Office. That sounds like a bad joke, but it’s absolutely true. Congress only found out about this domestic spying and assassination program in a 2022 report from the USPS’s Inspector General. Yahoo News reported on the possible existence of the program, which is designed to allow the government to spy on and murder Trump supporters, in April of 2021.

The specific stated goal of the secretive Internet Covert Operations Program is to “proactively gather intelligence using cryptocurrency analysis, open-source intelligence, and social media analysis.” In other words, Joe Biden has spooks operating in your local Post Office who are watching everything that you do online.

Yahoo reported in a bulletin dated March of 2021 that the Post Office spies were monitoring social media to watch out for threats from white supremacists and “right-leaning” websites to figure out whether Trump supporters were going to attack the White House and try to do another “insurrection.”

Yahoo also noted that the Internet Covert Operations Program had “monitored significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021.”

Oh, who could forget the significance of March 20th!? March 20 is otherwise known as French Language Day, International Day of Happiness, and National Proposal Day. So, it makes sense that a bunch of right-wing militias would try to topple the government on that day.

The Epoch Times noted last year that these Post Office cops are using sophisticated hacking tools that can even break into an encrypted iPhone. The Times reported that these tools had been used “hundreds of times” since Joe Biden activated this secret hit squad.

The Postal Service claimed that its secret assassins were only using covert hacking tools within the confines of the law. But the Inspector General Report determined otherwise:

“We determined that certain proactive searches iCOP conducted using an open-source intelligence tool from February to April 2021 exceeded the Postal Inspection Service’s law enforcement authority.”

Rep. Gaetz announced that he is introducing a bill to completely eliminate the Internet Covert Operations Program from the federal government.

“There has been no indication that USPIS has shut down iCOP, likely meaning that this surveillance program is still violating Americans’ privacy and seeking to curb their First Amendment rights,” said Gaetz.

“The Postal Service should be focused on delivering the mail on time and on budget, not running a covert surveillance program to monitor political behavior on social media,” Gaetz added.

Well, yeah. The very existence of this program calls itself into question. What right does the Post Office have to spy on your internet activity without a warrant? This was obviously set up as a covert program to assist the FBI in hunting down innocent January 6ers. A judge might deny the FBI a search warrant to spy on Americans, but the Post Office? They’ve probably never even thought to ask.

This program is the latest example of Joe Biden trampling all over American rights. Hopefully, Rep. Gaetz will be able to push this bill to the House floor for a full vote. It’s incredibly dangerous to have federal agencies that simply usurp power for themselves to spy on us all. This needs to end.
