Remembering That Time When Chuck Schumer Was Part of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy Against Immigration

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) practically called the Republican Party terrorists earlier this week when lashing out against their “partisan border policy.” He accused the GOP of endangering national security for having the audacity to think that our northern and southern borders should have stricter controls on them. What a hypocrite! It wasn’t that long ago when Schumer himself was part of the vast right-wing conspiracy against illegal aliens.

It’s hard to remember these days, but back in 2009, many Democrat Members of Congress felt the same way that many Republicans do now. Remember that? Congress used to care about Americans and the will of the people back then. It seems quaint now.

For example, here’s a direct quote from a Chuck Schumer floor speech in 2009:

“People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the U.S. legally. The American people will never accept immigration reform unless they truly believe that their government is committed to ending future illegal immigration.”

Wow. What a bigot! Chuck Schumer must HATE BROWN PEOPLE!

In another speech that year, Schumer praised the fact that Congress had added an additional 9,000 members to the ranks of the Border Patrol. He was also proud of the fact that Congress had paid for and successfully built 630 miles of new border wall—when George W. Bush was president!

Here’s another quote from the racist border bigot Chuck Schumer:

“Until the American people are convinced that we will stop future flows of illegal immigration, we will make no progress on dealing with the millions of illegal immigrants who are here now and on rationalizing our system of legal immigration.”

Some reporter should ask Chuck Schumer what changed after 2009 when he made those remarks. Did the Democrat Party’s plans for America somehow change when Barack Obama was in the White House?
