Back when President Donald Trump left office, many right-leaning news and opinion outlets wrote articles and op-eds praising the many accomplishments of his magnificent presidency. No other American leader has ever accomplished so much for the people in just a single term. Years later, Issues & Insights is shocked to learn that Google has demonetized an op-ed they published praising Trump when he left office. Google has labeled the positive op-ed as “dangerous and derogatory.”
Google’s ad-serving network is now blocking ads from appearing on that specific article, which was titled “Trump’s Top-10 Triumphs: A Last Look At A Remarkable Presidency.” The article offers nothing but glowing praise for one of the greatest presidents in American history.
“Trump’s performance in just four years was nothing short of remarkable,” state the authors. “He promulgated dozens, if not hundreds, of successful policies that other presidents talked about, but never secured.”
Oooh! Sounds “dangerous,” doesn’t it?
There is not a single derogatory or negative thing mentioned about anyone in the article. It simply lists ten major accomplishments of Donald Trump’s presidency. While your own top ten list of Trump’s deeds may look slightly different, why would any reasonable person think that praising him is “dangerous and derogatory?”
Not one negative word is said about Joe Biden in the article. This is despite the fact that Joe Biden took showers with his own daughter and allegedly raped Tara Reade.
Google is wielding its censorship hammer once again by demonetizing articles that praise Donald Trump. That’s what this really is. They’re not saying new outlets can’t publish articles praising Donald Trump’s many accomplishments. But if you do, you’re not going to be able to make any money from Google advertising. Soft totalitarianism is still totalitarianism.
