Biden’s Trip to Ukraine Took Months of Secret Planning and Millions of Dollars

President Biden used a belated Valentine’s Day dinner on December 18th to help him sneak away from Washington. Following their dinner, he slipped out of the country, only to first publicly appear in Kyiv just 36 hours later as he walked from St Michael’s Cathedral as the sky filled with air raid sirens.

For months now, Biden and his numerous aides have destroyed any notion of the President visiting the war-torn nation. With no control over the skies or the ground where Biden would be traversing was a daunting task. As such, only a very small circle of people knew about the mission, along with one reporter and one photographer to document the trip. All electronic devices were confiscated before departure to ensure the highest rates of security.

“We’re going to continue to use our convening power, to marshal the world, to galvanize support for Ukraine, but there are no plans for the president to enter Ukraine on this trip,” NSC spokesman John Kirby claimed MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart.” The office did however admit the President had left for Poland at 7 PM eastern on Monday. However, Biden was gone long before that in an unusual Air Force C-32.

Stopping in Germany for refueling before landing in Poland, reports indicate that Biden was focused on plotting out what he and Zelensky would be talking about, and his overwhelming desire to ensure the conversations would be productive.

Landing in Rzeszow Poland where he had stopped just 11 months earlier during a visit to the troops, Biden had previously said before that he wanted to cross the border. Talking as if he was being outranked by other people, the President told the audience “I’m here in Poland to see firsthand the humanitarian crisis and quite frankly, part of my disappointment is that I can’t see it firsthand like I have in other places. They will not let me – understandably, I guess – cross the border and take a look at what’s going on in Ukraine.”

Now, with US aircraft staying in the skies over Poland, the President was getting set for his trip with his small group of advisers, the two members of the press, and a team of Secret Service guards they cross the border in a train.

Yes, despite everything wrong in Ukraine and the US, Biden and his group had the time to take a 10-hour train ride to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. Following behind other leaders from Poland, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Canada, and even France have already visited to see where their money was going. Then again, even Jill visited for Mother’s Day last year. There she met with Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska.

When he first started making efforts to make this happen a few months ago, the President shot down every conceivable idea besides the capital. The way he saw it, he needed to go to the epicenter and see the damage there. An idea he has failed to show for the destroyed areas of our own country. He has yet to visit the train derailments in Detroit or East Palestine. He has yet to speak about the minority lead mass shootings or to make any verifiable progress at the border. Instead, he’s just content to hand over hundreds of millions of American dollars to protect his billions in Ukrainian-linked interests.

As CBS showcased, this was a big waste of American money.
