Watching disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) cast stones at anyone is hilarious. Seeing him do it from the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Bronx is simply blasphemous. From his soapbox, the false saint gave his sermon to the very people who are living with the problem and not those who could fix the situation. Pointing out the homeless, crime, and subway problems in NYC, he proclaimed Mario Cuomo would have begged the federal government to fix the city.
“You have the federal government, which is where it starts, it’s standing at the border with a sign that says, ‘Come to the United States of America and claim asylum.’ And two million people come. Of course, from Venezuela, Honduras, and Guatemala. They get to the border and they say, ‘Where do you want to go?’ And they say, ‘I want to go to New York.’ What are they going to say? I want to go to Nevada?”
He then goes on to allege that only New York City is taking in the illegals. He claims the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and Upstate NY aren’t taking their fair share. In his mind, it’s because the rest of the state doesn’t want the political problems that come with the illegals. The fact of the matter is, that the rest of the state isn’t helping them because they never committed to do so.
NYC decided for itself they wanted to be a Sanctuary City. They also decided to pass bills to ensure people would always have a place to sleep in NYC, no matter what. Meanwhile, the rest of the state fails to have that kind of flexibility. They don’t have the available infrastructure, jobs, or economy to support a massive influx of illegals.
As it is, jobs are already incredibly scarce as companies flee the persistent overtaxing due to the drain put on the rest of the state by NYC. If Cuomo and the rest of the liberals would take some time to explore the rest of the state and not just the polished visits they go on, he would see that the entire state is a cesspool.
