White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Fumbles and Fibs (Again)

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had another bad day at the job. She had to justify why the president let a Chinese spy balloon fly over the bulk of the country for a week before our military was given orders to shoot it down.

Instead of owning it, the White House tried to deflect the blame by pointing to it happening three times before under President Donald Trump. But their story about the past just kept evolving.

They claimed that the balloons were not detected and the intel they have on it was pieced together from the intel community. Then they said it was discovered after the Trump team left.
Gen. Glen VanHerck, Commander of NORAD, said it wasn’t detected by the military because they had a “domain awareness gap.” But this all just seems like the Biden Administration is simply gaslighting to cover their tracks.

The General went on to say something that is really just jaw-dropping based on the Biden team’s original statements.

He said, “I could not take immediate action because it was not demonstrating hostile act or hostile intent.”

He then talked about the balloon possibly having a huge payload and possible explosives to destroy the balloon on board.

If that is really true, how in the world did the Biden Administration not see an aircraft of a foreign power breaching our airspace – as having “hostile intent”?

Earlier, they said they did not have time to take the shot near Alaska. So what is the real reason, that one or the generals?

A reporter asked Jean-Pierre, “How is it possible that this administration discovered at least three previous balloons that flew over the U.S. under the previous administration, but Trump officials didn’t know it was happening?”

KJP answered, “Yeah, so, look, I think that — and we have talked about this before, about how the — when it — when the PRC government surveillance balloons transited the continental U.S. briefly at least three times, as you just mentioned, during the President’s — the prior administration and once that we know of the beginning of this administration’s,” KJP said.

She was incoherent as she fumbled, then she told a big whopper about the timing and the Trump administration.
