A Democrat Stuffed 1,000 Fake Voter Registrations in a Garbage Bag — And They Still Want You to Believe Voter Fraud Is a ‘Myth’

Every single time — every *single* time — we bring up election integrity, we get the same rehearsed eye-roll from the left. “Voter fraud doesn’t exist.” “It’s a conspiracy theory.” “You’re undermining democracy by even asking questions.” Well, folks, a 71-year-old Democratic candidate in New Jersey just pleaded guilty to forging roughly one thousand voter registration applications. Not alleged. Not “under investigation.” *Guilty.* As in, raised her right hand and admitted it in a court of law.

But sure, we’re the crazy ones for wanting voter ID. A woman literally hauled a garbage bag full of fake registrations to a post office, and somewhere a CNN anchor is still insisting the real threat to democracy is you asking to see someone’s driver’s license.

Here’s the story, and it’s almost too perfect. Henrilyn Ibezim, 71, was running as a Democratic mayoral candidate in Plainfield, New Jersey back in the 2021 primary. She ran on something called the “Unity Party” ticket, which is ironic since her version of unity apparently meant forging the identities of about a thousand people without their knowledge or consent. She took their personal information, filled out voter registration applications in their names, and then — and this is the part that really ties the room together — she stuffed roughly a thousand of these fraudulent forms into a garbage bag and carted them to a post office in Elizabeth, New Jersey to mail to the Union County Commissioner of Registration.

A garbage bag. Not a manila envelope. Not a filing box. A *garbage bag.* If that’s not a metaphor for the entire Democratic approach to election integrity, I don’t know what is.

Now here’s where it gets even better. Election officials noticed something was off — mainly because many of the applications appeared to be filled out by only a handful of people. The handwriting was the same across dozens and dozens of forms. The applications also conveniently lacked the required disclosure that someone other than the actual voter had completed them. You know, that little legal requirement that exists specifically to prevent *exactly this kind of thing.*

The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability picked up the case. Ibezim was charged, and she just pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree forgery. The remaining counts were dismissed as part of a plea deal, and prosecutors — brace yourselves — recommended *probation.*

Probation. For forging a thousand voter registrations. You get harsher punishment for speeding through a school zone in most states. A woman committed fraud on a scale that would make a Chicago ward boss blush, and the system basically patted her on the head and told her not to do it again. That’ll really send a message to the next person thinking about stuffing a Hefty bag full of fake voter forms.

And do you want to know the funniest part? After all that effort — a thousand forged registrations, a garbage bag, a whole criminal conspiracy — Henrilyn Ibezim finished *fourth* in the Democratic primary. With 103 votes. She committed a felony-level scheme and still couldn’t win a local primary in a one-party town. That’s not just criminal. That’s *embarrassing.*

But let’s zoom out for a second, because this isn’t really about one 71-year-old woman in Plainfield, New Jersey. This is about the pattern. Every time a case like this surfaces — and they surface constantly if you’re paying attention — the media treats it like some kind of freak accident. “Oh, it’s an isolated incident.” “It’s not widespread.” “It doesn’t affect outcomes.” That’s the playbook. Minimize, dismiss, change the subject.

Meanwhile, every single proposal to tighten election security gets labeled as “voter suppression.” Voter ID? Suppression. Cleaning voter rolls? Suppression. Requiring proof of citizenship? Believe it or not, also suppression. The only thing that’s apparently NOT suppression is forging a thousand registrations and stuffing them in a trash bag.

New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport said her office is “determined to ensure elections are fair” and that accountability is “crucial to our system.” Great words. Beautiful words, even. But accountability that ends with probation for industrial-scale forgery isn’t accountability — it’s a participation trophy for criminals.

We’re heading into a midterm cycle. The left is going to spend the next year and a half telling you that the only threat to elections comes from people asking too many questions. They’ll point at you, the voter who wants secure elections, and call you the problem. Meanwhile, their candidates are literally hauling garbage bags full of forged registrations to the post office.

Remember this case the next time someone tells you voter fraud is a myth. It’s not a myth. It’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s a guilty plea. And until we start treating election fraud like the serious crime it is — instead of handing out probation like candy at a parade — we’re going to keep finding more garbage bags.

The only myth here is the idea that the people screaming “voter fraud doesn’t exist” actually believe it.
