We all know the Biden Administration’s southern border is best described as porous. Thankfully, the Texas National Guard is making it less so.

Case and point comes from Eagle Pass on Saturday, where Guardsmen diligently stood and worked to prevent illegals from entering the US.

If you haven’t heard of Eagle Pass, it’s one of the porous points on the Texas/Mexico border, with some 270,000 illegals reportedly having made their way through thus far in fiscal year 2023. Wednesday proved this even more, with a whopping 10,000 migrants coming through the area from Mexico in a single day, according to US Customs and Border Protection data.

NewsNation reported that numbers like that haven’t been “seen since before the end of the pandemic-era policy Title 42.”

Naturally, such massive immigration surges are wreaking havoc on the local community.

Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas says constituents are becoming increasingly concerned about the growing number of “people in our community,” especially when most of those “people” aren’t wanted in the community and also don’t want to be there.

As Salinas explained, shelters are overwhelmed and understaffed. This leads to increased frustrations for both the community and migrants seeking shelter, leaving more and more to wander the streets rather than be housed indoors.

Enter the Texas National Guard.

Footage shows Guardsmen all along the Eagle Pass border “preventing illegal immigrants from entering Eagle Pass.”

Of course, some illegals still find a way through the Guardsmen and prolific concertina (C) wire. But as several posts show, that is becoming less and less likely as the National Guard is physically standing watch and adding more C wire to the area.

As Texas Governor Greg Abbott said on Tuesday, the Biden administration or Biden’s border patrol officers have been caught literally cutting the wire to let in illegals. So Abbott is adding reinforcements and more C wire.

Here’s to the Texas National Guard doing what Biden won’t.
