Of the many fibs peddled about Kamala Harris by Democrats and their obedient media mouthpieces, one of the biggest whoppers is that a Harris presidency would usher in a golden era of economic prosperity for working women. In reality, the numbers paint a far less rosy picture. Under Harris and Biden, women have faced unprecedented pay cuts, inflation, tax hikes, and an economic disaster that’s setting records for all the wrong reasons. Meanwhile, President Trump provided the most robust economic boost for women that we’ve seen in modern times.
During Trump’s presidency, median income for women surged every year, peaking at an all-time high in 2020. Real average weekly earnings climbed by 8.2% under Trump, whereas they dropped by 3.9% once Harris and Biden took over. Unemployment rates for women and Black women hit record lows during Trump’s tenure, and the gender workforce participation gap shrank to its narrowest ever. Trump’s economy broke records with the highest number of women in the workforce.
This wasn’t just a happy accident. Trump understood that working women juggle careers and family life, so he championed a pro-family economic agenda. He doubled the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000 per child, benefiting nearly 40 million families with an average credit of $2,200, totaling about $88 billion. He introduced the first-ever paid family leave tax credit for lower-income employees and secured 12 weeks of paid parental leave for federal workers. Trump’s administration also approved the largest-ever increase in childcare and development block grants, helping over 800,000 low-income families. Plus, new parents could withdraw up to $5,000 from retirement accounts without penalty for childbirth or adoption.
The age-old question about balancing work and family life—can women have it all? —had a definitive yes under Trump’s leadership.
Under Biden and Harris, not so much.
Their disastrous economic policies have been a nightmare for every American, with women bearing the brunt. Kamala Harris’s tie-breaking vote for the laughably named “Inflation Reduction Act” only fueled inflation with an excess of ridiculous climate spending. Women are now working longer hours and postponing retirement.
Ask any woman in America, and she’ll tell you inflation is hitting her hardest. Since Harris took office, prices have surged by 19.4%, making it increasingly tough for women to support their families. Women, who are the majority of grocery shoppers, have seen grocery bills skyrocket, forcing many to cut back on essentials. In Nevada, a single mother of two had to sell her car to afford groceries under Biden. In Michigan, a mother had to prioritize gasoline over buying clothes for her kids because of Harris’s vote for Biden’s radical green energy agenda.
According to Congress’s Joint Economic Committee, families now need an extra $12,590 annually to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed three years ago. A staggering 67% of parents say inflation has hit their ability to pay for their children’s education and activities. Childcare costs have jumped 32% since 2019, with nearly two-thirds of families spending over 20% of their annual income on it. Diaper prices have soared 32%, and 47% of families struggle to afford them. Biden and Harris’s incompetence even caused a baby formula shortage in 2022, driving prices to record highs. A staggering 44 million people faced food insecurity in 2022, a 31% annual increase and the largest since 2008.
With women making up the majority of voters, it’s no wonder the Harris propaganda machine is working overtime to convince them they’ve never had it better. But despite the Democrats’ spin, the numbers tell the truth. President Trump not only genuinely cares about women and all Americans but also knows how to stimulate the economy to create historic opportunities. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, sees women as just another voting block to deceive and then ditch for her economically disastrous, far-left agenda.
Ladies, don’t be duped.
