The Republicans continue to do exactly as they promised if the American voters gave them back the majority in the House. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy removed Adam Schiff from sitting on the House Intelligence Committee.
That has certainly brought great offense from Schiff, but now there is an insult to injury for the Californian Democrat.
Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced legislation Thursday that would call on the House to vote on whether Schiff should be kept from accessing and viewing any classified information.
The press has obtained the legislation that Gaetz has in the works, it is titled the PENCIL Act. This could be based on what former President Donald Trump’s nickname for Schiff was, “Pencil-Neck.” The official reason is that it is for the “Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses” Resolution.
Gaetz told the press before he introduced the legislation that Congressman Adam Schiff led the effort for years to weaponize lies from the Clinton campaign. He said that Schiff used a corrupt Department of Justice to ruin President Trump and destroy any trust the nation had in America’s intelligence agencies.
“Speaker McCarthy kept his promise to remove Rep. Schiff from the Intelligence Committee, and with the PENCIL Resolution, we will express the sense of Congress that he should be barred from accessing any classified information at all. He can no longer be trusted by his colleagues in Congress or the American people,” Gaetz said.
The same day that Gaetz introduced the bill, Schiff announced that he was planning to leave the House and run for a seat in the Senate.
After McCarthy removed Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff immediately got on the Chinese-owned TikTok social media platform and whined that McCarthy removed him for doing his job.
And then he asked for donations for his new campaign.
