On Tuesday, CNN’s Chris Cuomo announced his recovery from the Wuhan coronavirus to the world by reappearing from his basement after supposedly being quarantined there for several weeks.
It was supposed to be a joyous moment, a time when his family could be reunited, something he had “dreaming of, literally for weeks.” It was also proof that we, as a nation, can come back from this disease and regain our lives.

However, the whole thing was a complete and utter lie.
We will come back from this; I have no doubt. But Chris’s dramatic emersion from the depths of his basement was nothing but an act.
As you probably know, Cuomo, the brother of New York state’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, was diagnosed on March 31 with the virus after being “exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive.” Chris wrote the above text in an announcement to the American public on the day he was diagnosed, adding that he would self-quarantining in his basement for the foreseeable future and would be doing his shows from there.
The first bit of evidence that he didn’t stay alone in the basement is that his wife, Christina, was diagnosed with the virus about two weeks later – something she would have had to quarantine for as well. In fact, five days before Chris walked up the basement stairs on video to hug his wife, he told America that she would need to be isolated for another two weeks.
The second comes from an incident in the East Hamptons, about 30 minutes from his South Hampton home on Easter Sunday. Cuomo was seen outside with his wife and three children on a property under construction that was bought by the CNN host last year. While he and his family were taking in the site of their new property, an older man on a bicycle rode by, recognizing Cuomo.
Naturally, the man was concerned about Cuomo being out in public, and with his family, after being diagnosed and told by the CDC to stay home and away from others.
So he said something to Cuomo about it, saying, “Your brother is the coronavirus czar, and you’re not even following his rules – unnecessary travel.”
Cuomo, who is known to have quite the temper, confronted the man, basically telling him to mind his own business.
Now, this could have been a ‘your word vs. mine’ situation to prove that it happened. But Cuomo was so angered by the encounter that he publicly ranted about it in a radio interview last week. Cuomo said on the air, “I don’t want some jackass, loser, fat tire biker being able to pull over and get in my space and talk bull–it to me, I don’t want to hear it.”
The New York Post also wrote an article about it, in which they interviewed the biker. The man, only known as David, said that “Sometimes he’s scary stupid,” talking about Cuomo. The bicyclist even filed a police report afterward for Cuomo’s blatant disregard for other’s health and safety.
So there is no denying that the encounter occurred.
Even his daughter’s social media accounts can attest that it wasn’t. She recorded him on more than one occasion, using the popular video app TikTok, in places that were clearly not the basement, such as an indoor-outdoor space in his home, as well as the family living room upstairs – you know the same one he enters into after being confined to the bowels of his house for weeks on end.
And yet somehow both Cuomo and CNN thought it was ok to later air a clearly fake video about this being the first time he had emerged from the basement.
There’s plenty of proof to support the truth. But, as well all know, the truth is not what is important to CNN or Chris Cuomo. They would rather spin lies until the world is dizzy than spread actual news and events as they happened.
It’s still just a bit shocking that they would even try this. I mean, who in the world would believe them? Clearly, America doesn’t, if the comments on social media have any truth to them.
All they are doing is proving to the world that we can’t believe anything they say or do. Because if something as silly as this video of Cuomo reentering society is false, what does that say about all the stuff they “report” about Trump?
