Trump Halts Homeowner Fears
(ReliableNews.org) – Helping the American people weather the COVID-19 economic storm is a top priority for Congress and President Donald Trump. The commander in chief is already relieving the financial burden on people while lawmakers debate further aid. During the March 18th briefing, Trump announced immediate relief for renters and homeowners.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is suspending all evictions and foreclosures on any housing the agency backs through the end of April.

HUD, overseen by Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, provides housing to low-income Americans. The president said he’s “working very closely” with the doctor to help people make it through this tough time.
President Trump is invoking the Defense Production Act.

At the time of Trump’s announcement, there were more than 7,600 confirmed cases of the virus in the US. Of that number, 117 have died. At a time when Americans are worrying about their health, the financial burden he’s lifting from many is a huge relief.
