Let’s be honest. There’s a big difference between individuals seeking asylum through the proper channels and storming the border.
The border crisis has been evident since the moment that Biden stepped foot into the White House. And DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has done nothing to improve the situation. He’s actually been so ineffective that the House GOP is focused on trying to impeach Mayorkas.
The situation has gotten worse in the past few days.
On Sunday, a crowd of over 1,000 illegal aliens stormed the Port of Entry near El Paso, Texas.
Bill Melugin of Fox News shared a video via Twitter:

This is not acceptable – and any politician who says it is clearly has ulterior motives. These individuals are not seeking asylum. They are simply looking to enter the US for all of the benefits that the Biden administration has promised.
Think about it. Free money. Free healthcare. And in some cases, free plane and bus tickets to other parts of the US.
Biden has refused to admit that there’s a problem. And he’s repeatedly denied Governor Greg Abbott’s requests of declaring the immigration as a federal emergency.
How about now? If there are thousands entering El Paso, that would definitely be an emergency – and since it truly affects the entire country, it absolutely should be escalated to a federal emergency. The state of Texas alone should not be forced to deal with this problem.
And the residents of El Paso are probably terrified at the moment.
While Melugin reported that there were crowd control measures used and that the crowd was “repelled,” they haven’t given up and gone home. Instead, they reassembled on another bridge. And some are trying to cross the river.
There are only so many ways that the CBP can act on this – and there are not enough CBP officers to stop everyone – especially since border wall construction ended long ago.
Illegal immigration is costing the US taxpayers approximately $151 billion a year simply because Joe Biden refuses to offer any kind of effective defense against this kind of illegal immigration.
There’s no telling how many will make it through – and yet, Joe Biden is tweeting about affordable child care instead of the immigration problem.
