NGOs Accused of Defrauding American Taxpayers Over Funding for Illegal Aliens

In 2021, Joe Biden and the Republican Senate carved out an additional $110 million for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that could then be disbursed to the hordes of invaders flooding across our southern border. You might want to sit down for this, but those funds are being abused and wasted through fraud, according to a new Department of Homeland Security Inspector General (IG) report. What a surprise.

Before we even get to that, be sure to thank Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for this mess if he ever gets out of the hospital. Republicans in the Senate could have blocked Joe Biden’s “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021” if they had just held the line and prevented the Democrats from procuring the needed 60 votes to advance the bill. But they didn’t.

Republicans under McConnell’s “leadership” voted to give American taxpayer dollars directly to illegal alien border breachers. Great job, Mitch McConnell! Thanks for throwing away the futures of all our children and grandchildren as you wallow in a sea of Chinese wealth!

The $110 million in taxpayer funds that were authorized with the help of Republicans first went to FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program. FEMA was then authorized to distribute the cash to various charitable NGOs, so they could give the cash to “needy” illegal aliens who just paid the drug cartels anywhere from $4,000 to $6,000 per head to ferry them across the border. (Total amount FEMA has spent in East Palestine, Ohio: $0)

The Inspector General reviewed the $12.9 million that FEMA had given to 18 different NGOs in the border states of Texas, Arizona, California, and New Mexico. Unsurprisingly, the receipts didn’t match what was in the till.

The NGOs were supposed to be following approved guidance set under the law by Congress when they were approved to receive cash, but they’re not doing that. Some of the NGOs were unable to provide receipts of where the money went. Which means it may not have even ended up in the hands of “needy” invaders. Did someone just pocket the cash, like what’s happening in Ukraine?

The IG also found that some of the people who received cash from the NGOs did not have a “DHS encounter record.” This means that scammers showed up at the doorstep of the NGOs and duped them into thinking they were illegal aliens. So naturally, the NGOs gave them your taxpayer dollars!

The report notes that the IG was unable to obtain any receipts for 58% of the funds that FEMA disbursed to the NGOs. The money just “walked off.” In a hilarious statement at the end of the report, the IG states:

“Without additional oversight and enforcement from FEMA and the National Board, [NGOs] may continue to use the funds for services without providing the required supporting documentation for reimbursement, increasing the risk of misuse of funds and fraud.”

News flash: The funds are already being misused and stolen through fraud. Out of the $12.9 million in funds that the IG tried to investigate, $7.4 million is unaccounted for. Nobody knows where it went! That is not a “risk” of misuse. It’s flat-out misuse!

Imagine that you work at a retail job, and at the end of every workday, the amount of cash in the till is less than the total on the receipts. Someone would get fired for that before very long because that someone is obviously “misusing” the funds.

Unfortunately, none of the NGOs are going to face any kind of penalty for wasting and mismanaging millions of taxpayer dollars. The next time that Congress authorizes more cash for them, the same ones with a proven track record of failure will be lining up with their hands out, and they’ll be rewarded again.
