The latest trend sweeping America is to obliterate everything we are accustomed to. Get rid of it. Cancel it. Destroy and vandalize it. Everything must go. But hold on a minute…
Too far is too far, and we’ve passed that point faster than a speeding bullet. It would seem there are a whole bunch of old dogs who have no desire to learn any of these new tricks. Especially for a bunch of liberal traitors trying their damnedest to turn our sweet land of liberty into a free-for-all for anarchists.
Comprehend this if you can. Nick Jr is removing “Paw Prints,” a cartoon about a squadron of canines who run around saving other animals from criminals. Why? It’s too positive. It eludes reality since the dog cops don’t beat up on the other animals enough, and goodness gracious, they don’t even kneel on any necks. Kids can’t watch that. It’s too fake. It’ll warp their minds.
The decision to can the show came about as the result of a Tweet expressing their support for Black Lives Matter. They must have in no way anticipated the comments that were to follow. And boy did they follow quickly.
“Defund the paw patrol.” “All dogs go to heaven, except the class traitors in the Paw Patrol.” “Euthanize the police dog.” These are but a few of the more tame comments the producers of the show received.
Removing “Paw Patrol” is not a lone incident of how the cancel culture is sweeping our nation with the intent of eliminating even those things which have no need for elimination. A cartoon without enough violence? Sure thing.
HBO Max started this stone rolling down a moss-covered hill with their decision to remove the 1939 classic, and winner of eight Oscar awards, “Gone With the Wind” from their library. They claim the movie didn’t reveal enough about the horrors of slavery during the era the movie depicted. Perhaps it’s because this is not a movie about slavery. Duh.
After 32 seasons, Paramount canceled “Cops.” A&E followed suit by canceling “Live PD.” What’s next? The Andy Griffith Show? That Barney dude is a bad influence. He can never even find his one bullet.
Here is something even crazier. Lego has stopped marketing their “Lego City Police Station,” and their “Police Highway Arrest” sets. Their reasoning? Who knows? Probably to be one of the cool kids.
It isn’t only the ludicrous cancelation of TV shows and films that are making the news though. Many familiar celebrity faces must now apologize for any previous racial comments or actions which weren’t considered a bit racist at the time they were spoken or done.
Bon Appetit’s executive editor, Adam Rappaport, recently resigned because of a very old photo surfacing of him dressed as a typical Puerto Rican. He was ridiculed for stereotyping. Rather than put up a fuss, Rappaport tossed his hands in the air and said he wanted “to reflect on the work that I need to do as a human being and allow Bon Appetit to get to a better place.” In other words, “Y’all can have it. I’m done”
Anna Wintour, an editor at Vogue Magazine, was forced to issue a statement acknowledging her past mistakes for using photos and releasing articles that may have been hurtful and intolerant. In lieu of surrendering her longtime career with the company. Much like a POW, she was coerced into stating the following.
“I want to start by acknowledging your feelings and expressing my empathy towards what so many of you are going through: sadness, hurt, and anger too. I want to say this especially to the Black members of our team…I also know that the hurt, and violence, and injustice we’re seeing and talking about have been around for a long time. Recognizing it and doing something about it is overdue.”
Have you had enough of all this ignorance yet? Enough of the liberal’s idiotic idea that by making something go away it never happened. Or their determination of what we the people should be allowed to watch and not watch? Who the hell are they?
Reality cannot be changed, folded, spindled, or mutilated, yet these radical left-wing agitators and anarchists who must be hallucinating on LSD, believe it can be.
The longer they keep up their absolute nonsense, the sooner they just may find out how many of us disagree with their hate-filled motives once their opposition starts standing up for what’s right.
To repeat: Too far is too far. Elmer Fudd was forced to give up his gun. Who’s next? Us?
