It’s become rather apparent recently that Disney and their streaming platform Disney+ are no longer interested in promoting healthy family and childhood ideals. But now, they are taking things to a whole new level by agreeing to a show that romanticizes the Devil and the thought of falling in love with him.

According to Deadline, Disney+ has recently said yes to “Pauline,” an original German series following a young woman who finds herself falling in love with and getting impregnated by the Devil himself.

“Pauline follows the eponymous protagonist, an 18-year-old who accidentally becomes pregnant – from a one-night stand. With school stress, the climate crisis, and the downfall of society weighing heavily on her mind, something she doesn’t need at all right now is catching feelings, especially not for her one-night stand Lukas, who, as it turns out, is the Devil himself.”

Several venues, including Disney+ and Netflixlife, call the series a “coming of age” story.

Of course, with it being featured on Disney’s platform, you know that it targets our children, those young impressionable minds who are our future. After all, Statista notes that most Disney+ users are between the ages of 2 and 17.

Talk about coming for your kids…

Thankfully, a few groups have already begun to protest this series, as well as Disney’s participation.

First and foremost is MovieGuide, a family-friendly entertainment watchdog site. Chairman of the site and founder, Ted Baehr, “is calling on parents to petition Disney+ to stop the release of ‘Pauline’ on the platform,” Faithwire says.

Citizen-go has also joined the move to stop the series from ever premiering.

Of course, the groups are also encouraging parents to drop their Disney+ subscription altogether.
