Democrats Call Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom in GA Senate Debate – Any Questions?

It’s hard to believe this is still happening in America in 2023. The Georgia Senate was debating whether to dedicate a statue to one of the state’s most important judges of all time – Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

During the debate, a Democrat Party state senator actually called Justice Thomas an “Uncle Tom.” At a time when normal people are fired and their lives can be destroyed for saying things that are misinterpreted as racist on Twitter, the Democrat Party continues to get away with spewing some of the most vile racist slurs imaginable.

It’s pretty much a no-brainer that Clarence Thomas deserves a statue in the Georgia legislative halls. His 32 years on the US Supreme Court have been some of the most consequential terms of any justice in modern history, other than perhaps the late Antonin Scalia.

Clarence Thomas is not a weirdo. He doesn’t pull fairytale rights out of the Constitution through twisted logic. He shares the conservative worldview of the majority of normal Americans when it comes to issues like affirmative action, the need for free and fair elections, and abortion.

Because Justice Thomas is not enslaved by the idiotic idea that his skin color should determine his politics, he has been subjected to the most vicious racist slurs imaginable for his entire career. And those smears always come from Democrats.

Georgia State Senator Emanuel Jones, a Democrat, said this about Clarence Thomas during the debate over whether to build a statue in his honor:

“I’m just trying to tell you what we have in the African American community when we talk about a person of color that goes back historically to the days of slavery and that person betraying his own community – we have a term in the Black community. That term that we use is called ‘Uncle Tom.’ An Uncle Tom… talks about a person who back during the days of slavery sold his soul to the slave masters.”

Imagine if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) or House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ever said anything as viciously stupid as that. Their career would be over. They’d be drummed out of Congress. It would be the top story on every mainstream media outlet every night for the next five years.

How ironic is it that Sen. Jones, who happens to be black, has sold his own soul to the political party that defended slavery during the Civil War and would go on to form the Ku Klux Klan? But for being an independent free thinker who doesn’t decide his own politics based on the color of his skin, Clarence Thomas is somehow the traitor to his own race.

Clarence Thomas is used to this mudslinging from Democrats of all colors.

Rep. Bennie Thompson, who recently co-chaired the partisan hack January 6 Committee with Liz Cheney, has also called Justice Thomas an “Uncle Tom.” Rep. Thompson added that the judge dislikes black people, and does not like being black himself.

A black judge from the Third Circuit Court of Appeals tried to block Clarence Thomas from speaking to the bar association in 1998. Way back in 1986, a white Democrat who worked for Jimmy Carter named Hodding Carter, wrote that, “As a Southerner, Mr. Thomas is surely familiar with those ‘chicken-eating preachers’ who gladly parroted the segregationists’ line in exchange for a few crumbs from the white man’s table. He’s one of the few left in captivity.”

Nothing drives Democrats back to their party’s racist roots like a black conservative. Justice Thomas drives the left absolutely crazy because he’s not a slave to party orthodoxy like they are. The good news is that the Republican-controlled Georgia Senate passed the statue bill. All 20 Georgia Senate Democrats voted against it. The bill goes to the Republican-controlled Georgia House next, where it’s likely to pass.

Justice Thomas deserves a statue in his honor, if only because of the way that elected Democrats and judges have smeared him over the years.
