Cher Probably Wishes She Could Turn Back Time and Take Back This Trump Remark

Pop icon Cherilyn Sarkisian, known more commonly as Cher, has once again put her musical ear toward politics and is highly miffed with President Donald Trump, to the point of calling for him to be executed over his dealings with the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

Cher, along with many on the left, has had problems with Trump’s leadership from the beginning, but the coronavirus outbreak seems to have put them right over the edge. Not only have they bought into what we now know to be impressively over-dramatized coronavirus numbers (with the inclusion of “presumed” cases and those who were infected but not actually killed by COVID-19) but they are also getting their information about the president’s actions from those already staunchly against him.

The pop singer (who is apparently moonlighting as a political commentator) presented her diatribe on September 11th, of all days, in a now-deleted tweet to say that Trump is a mass murderer and his punishment should be an execution:

“THERE’S A NAME 4 KILLING SOMEONE…ITS CALLED ‘MURDER.’ IF YOU MURDER MORE THAN ONE PERSON YOU ARE A MASS MURDERER. THERE ARE MANY PUNISHMENTS FOR DIFFERENT DEGREES OF MURDER, BUT WHEN SOMEONE ‘KNOWINGLY ‘MURDERS PEOPLE… THE PUNISHMENT IS DEATH. Trump’s a mass murderer… hhmm.”

She posted another tweet near the same time, possibly as her first reaction to the backlash where she said “STATED FACTS ARE BRUTAL. MAYBE TOO BRUTAL. I FEEL. I AM A KIND PERSON, BUT I HAVE A ‘VENDETTA ‘SIDE (sic).”

Cher didn’t offer any validation as to why she believes that the president is guilty of mass murder. The virus, which is believed to have come from China, was met with a travel ban by the president, which earned him the title “racist” by many of the same people who now consider him responsible for the deaths of many Americans.

Democrats, the same ones that Cher aligns herself with politically, continued to encourage Americans to gather in groups and not give in to the president’s “fear-mongering” when much was still unknown about the virus, and the Centers for Disease Control and National Institute of Health were massively apprehensive as to how the virus was spread.

The 180-degree shift in opinion of the left, both on the virus and on what should have been done to mitigate it has turned out to be highly convenient for those whose primary interest seems to be making the executive branch seem incompetent.

However, none of those caveats appear to have slowed down the mainstream media or Democratic strategists in pointing the icy finger of political death toward the Trump administration in an attempt to tear him down in advance of the 2020 presidential election.

Cher, however, seems to have had somewhat of a change of heart, since she retracted some of her harsh words within an hour of posting them.

The aging pop star deleted her tweet calling on the president to be executed and for not living up to her own standards.

“LETS TALK…. I MUST TRY TO BE A BEACON OF LIGHT FOR YOU,” the singer presumptively told her apologized to her 3.8 million fans. “OBVIOUSLY DIDNT HEAR MY HIGHER ANGELS. I APOLOGIZE.” That wasn’t her only retraction, however. She later said, “I Feel Ashamed. SHAME IS IMPORTANT.”

However, that shame might be short-lived, if history is any indicator. In July the singer made a similar accusation against the president, saying that he was killing Americans “without a thought” and she again offered little to back up her accusation other than the standard Democratic party campaign tropes.

That accusation, however, came with a recommended sentence of solitary confinement over the now preferred execution.
